Decade in Review!

2000
Three months in Japan.
Watashi wa bacani
Americajin!

2001
September was the
cruelest month. Her scars still sting
my hometown, my heart.

2002
Dressed in cap and gown,
Ron Howard handed me an
untrue diploma.

2003
I broke my wrist but
somehow still graduated.
The shackles are gone.

2004
Welcome to Eden,
my thesis film, is finished.
School's out forever!

2005
Tiny green baby
from a Chinatown street fair.
Welcome home turtle!

2006
We got engaged
next to a parking meter
at night in the rain.

2007
In June the rainclouds
parted so the sun could smile
on our wedding day.

2008
Many months of work
campaigning for Barack. I
cried the night we won.

2009
I spent too much time
in the hospital. Farewell
my poor gallbladder!
